A Hindu schoolgirl was stabbed by a scoundrel for rejecting a love proposal in Rangunia, Chittagong. The incident took place at around 11:20 am on Saturday (May 28) in the area of ​​Maria Baap’s house in Ward 7 of Chandraghona-Kadamtali Union of the upazila on her way to take the SSC model test. The injured schoolgirl is a SSC candidate from Chandraghona Paharika High School. She has been studying from her uncle’s house in Chandraghona 7 no. ward Sebakhola Battal area.

The name of the accused is Md. Kaiyum (21), son of late Md. Sattar Miah of Pathan Para of the same union. The injured school girl uncle Palash Das has filed a case against the accused.

The student’s uncle Palash Das said, ‘scoundrel Md. Kaiyum has been offering love to my niece for a long time on the way to and from school. He had been threatening her for the last few months for rejecting her love proposal. This (Saturday) morning my niece was going to give SSC model test at school. On the way to school reached Chandraghona Maria Baper Bari area and was stopped her by scoundrel Md. Kaiyum. At that moment, he grabbed the hair of the student’s head and stabbed her in the back of the head. She was seriously injured. But when the locals came forward, my niece was saved. He said, she was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

An eyewitness classmate of the injured student said, “scoundrel Md. Kaiyum often used to annoy my friend by offering her love. Today (Saturday) from 12 noon we had a test on business managment. Scoundrel Md. Kaiyum blocked our way on the way to the test. I could not take part in the test myself to help my girlfriend. ”

Taheratul Ashrafi, a doctor on duty at the Upazila Health Complex, said, “The injured student was stabbed in the back of the head. He has been given necessary treatment.

Rangunia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbub Milki said, “Police have visited the spot after receiving the information. A case has been registered in this regard under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act. The accused will be brought under the law. ”
